Beautiful choir teacher

Every year our Principal gets Room 8 and 9 to sing a song to see who will be in the choir. This is our choir tutor. Her name is Miss Miller. She is in charge of both of our choirs. Miss Miller is really good even though she only started this year. She is the best choir teacher I have ever had. She teaches us in her own time. In week 2 this term we performed at the Town Hall. I was a bit scared. I got over it though. It was awesome. But when we got there everyone could hear the band warming up ready to start singing.

Healthy Partnership

Linwood North has developed a great relationship with Raeward Fresh on Linwood Ave. Raeward Fresh donated enough fresh vegetables to our school for 3 classes to make and cook delicious healthy vegetable soup for their shared lunches.

Not only was the soup each class made delicious but super healthy and so good for growing kids. Room 3 created a great poster thanking Raeward Fresh for the vegetables and telling them how well Room 3's shared lunch went.

Worms wiggle

Once a term everyone goes to a place where our inquiry for that term is based, this term we went to the Eco Depot because our Inquiry topic for that term was recycling. First up was worm farming, we actually put real living tiger worms in our farms. Next we learnt about how compost is made, we all learnt something new.

The crazy exciting beach trip!

In Term one we all went to the beach. Everyone was having fun. Easter got buried in sand. We all did surfing and body-boarding. Everyone didn't want to go back to school because they still wanted to stay and play cricket and learn more about surfing and body-boarding. One of our teachers got bitten by a crab. Then we all jumped back on the bus and went back to school.

We were in the semi-finals!

This year our rugby team got into the rugby finals for our Zone. They are our Year five and sixes. Sadly they did not win but they had a great season and enjoyed it. Better luck next year.
